WHAT IS NEUROPLASTIC PAIN

Pain without damage
- and what that really means.

When your brain misreads safe signals from your body as dangerous, it creates real, intense pain - even with no injury present.

This isn't imaginary. It's neuroscience.

Because the brain is plastic, these pathways can change.

Pain that was learned can be unlearned.

01

A false alarm

Your nervous system is stuck in high alert - sending pain signals when there is no real threat to the body.

02

Learned pathways

Pain can become a neural habit, reinforced over months or years of the brain interpreting sensation as danger.

03

Reversible

Because the brain is plastic, these pathways can be rewired. Pain that was learned can, and does, get unlearned.

04

Mind-body bridge

Stress, emotion, and past experience wire directly into how your brain interprets physical sensation.

MEET THE HEALTH COACH

A different approach to chronic pain

Christine Gray is a health coach, mind-body medicine practitioner and family physician who understands that what happens in the mind, happens in the body.

Years of experience in pain management and addiction medicine lend a unique perspective to neuroplastic pain reprocessing work.

She brings a joyful spirit and depth of knowledge to exploring the mind-body origins of chronic pain and other medically unexplained symptoms. Her health coaching style is trauma-informed and compassionate.

She believes that understanding your pain is the first step to changing it.

At The Pain Brain LLC, we work at the intersection of mind-body medicine and cutting-edge neuroscience to transform the way you experience your body and to heal medically unexplained symptoms.

Often, people who are experiencing ongoing pain without injury and other symptoms that have no clear physiologic cause have a faulty neural connection.

Based on clinical research*, we have sound evidence that points to a therapeutic approach to resolving these neuroplastic symptoms.
